Privacy Policy

The WLA Secretariat is hosted by the London Borough of Ealing and its staff are employed by the Borough. The Secretariat and the Borough owns, manages and runs this website on behalf of the West London Alliance (WLA). The West London Alliance comprises the six West London boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow.

Personal information we collect

The WLA Secretariat does not capture or store any personal information about individuals who access this website (see cookies below) except where you voluntarily choose to give the Secretariat your personal details either via email, by using an online form on the website, registering with us , by enquiring about any of the council’s services, or by enquiring about any of the advertised vacancies on the Work Hub.

What we do with personal information  

We use this information only for the intended purpose that you have provided it. The information you provide may be used within other Councils in the WLA including Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow, or by an external organisation only if an employment enquiry has been made. Your information will be held only for as long as necessary and it will not be passed to any other parties . The WLA has implemented technical measures to safeguard your information from:

  • improper use or disclosure
  • unauthorised modification
  • unlawful destruction or accidental loss

Cookies  

The website makes use of cookies in the public interface to allow it to personalise its website to meet your requirements. Visitors to our website remain anonymous as the council does not seek to link any of the data collected to individuals. The information only allows the WLA to assess the popularity of the pages on the website, so that continual improvements can be made to the site.

Definition of terms   

Browser
